Good morning! I hope you had a very Merry Christmas! Is it just me or is the day after Christmas a depressing day? There's just so much excitement, joy, anticipation, beautiful decorations, etc leading up to and then in a blink, bam! it's done. So, today I will not overdo it. 

I did not plan a menu this week either. We need to use up some items as we're going away on vacation Saturday for a week. I might go pick up a few things today like salad and fruit for the rest of the week.

I spent $220 yesterday on groceries. WHAT?? LOL. Half of it was spent stocking back up on items from the warehouse club.

I didn't need much this week for groceries, obviously if you've been following me. I bought:

2 sweet onions

2-32 ozs Oikos Pro greek yogurt

2 bags shredded mozzarella cheese

I spent $35.61 and brings my total for December to $185.24, leaving $114.76.

Menu Plan for the Week of December 3rd

I decided to apply the $300.00 grocery budget again for December. I spent $149.63, half my budget this weekend. Chicken breasts were on sale for $1.99/lb. That only happens approximately once a month if not longer so I bought about 18-20 lbs. Canned tomatoes and beans were under $1 so I bought 6 cans of tomatoes and 4 of beans. I don't think I'll have to go shopping at all next week LOL.

Brunch: Hash & cheese omelets with toast (homemade bread) and butter

Dinner: I'm not sure yet. There's leftover ham and sweet potatoes in the fridge so I think we'll whip something up with those.

We were going to go to the tree lighting here in town last night but it was pouring rain. I've lived in this city for, oh gosh, at least 20 years now and I never even knew they did this!!! Oh well, maybe next year. I should check to see if they rescheduled it to tonight 😉
